Navi Mumbai International Airport

Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is An Under Construction Greenfield
International Airport. It’s being built at Ulwe Kopar-Panvel in Maharashtra, India.
It will be the second international airport for the Mumbai Metropoltian Region,
functioning alongside Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) as India’s first
urban multi-airport system.
MTHE will reduce South Mumbai to International Airport distance to just 40 min.

SEWRI TO NHAVA SHEVA SEA LINK

Nhava Sheva Sea Link 

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA)
has undertaken the implementation of the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Project,
connecting Sewri on Mumbai side to Chirle on Navi Mumbai side. This important
link having length of about 21.8 Km is being implemented considering the
importance of connectivity between the island city and the mainland. This will also
help alleviate the traffice congestion in the island city and faciliate development of
Navi Mumbai area. On completion of this project, the commuters traveling from
Mumbai towords Navi Mumbai. Navi Mumbai International Airport, Jawaharlal
Nehru Port, Panvel, Alibaug, Pune and Goa will not only be saving travel time but
will also save in terms of fuel.

 

VIRAR TO ALIBAUG MULTI MODAL CORRIDOR 

Multi Modal Corridor

This 126 km long Virar-Alibaug Multi Modal Corridor will connect NH-8, Bhiwandi
bypass, NH-3, NH-4 and NH-4B, Mumbai-Pune Expressway, NH-17 etc. Out of
this 126 km corridor, 79 km long Virar (Navghar) to Chirner (JNPT) corridor is
financially feasible.

The travel time between Virar to alibaug requried today will also be reduced by
50%. The Multi Modal Corridor will be a crucial step towards development,
strengthening and creating job opportunities in seven growth centers in MMR such
as Virar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Dombivali, Panvel, Taloja and Uran. The Corridor will
also be useful for the development of Navi Mumbai International Airport, JNPT Port, MTHL and Dedicated Freight Corridor.

NERUL TO URAN RAILWAY LINE

Nerul To Uran Railway Line

Nerul-Uran railway line is part of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. The first phase of
the line, a 12 Km section from Seawoods to Kharkopar has been inaugurated on
11th Nov.2018. Currently it is in 2nd phase and under construction. The entire 27
Kilometer line connects Nerul with Uran and has 10 Stations. The 10 Stations on
the proposed railway line are Seawoods, Sagar Sangam, Targhar Bamandongari,
Kharkopar, Ghavhan, Ranjanpada, Nhava-Sheva, Dronagiri and Uran.

 

WATER TRANSPORT

Water Transport

The Cidco, Bombay Port Trust (BPT) and maharashtra Martime Board (MMB) have Planed a RoRo (Roll-on roll-off) service that will provide water transport from the city to mumbai and raigad.
The water transport has been planned from nerul to bhaucha dhakka and later fromnerul to rewas, mandwa. A water terminal has been developed at bhaucha dhakka by the BPT. The MMB had developed the terminal at mandwa in raigad and CIDCO is developing the rs. 111 crore terminal in nerul.

 

JNPT PORT

JNPT PORT

Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) or JLN Port, also known as Nhava Sheva Port, is the largest
container port in India. Located east of Mumbai in Navi Mumbai’s Raigad district,
this port on the Arabian Sea is accessed via Thane Creek. It’s a nodal city of Navi Mumbai.
Its common name derives from the names of Nhava and Sheva villages that were
situated here. This port is also the terminal of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.

Siddhivinayak -Dhutum Metro with the view to connect mainland to Mumbai
through rail based mass transport MMRDA has planned a metro corridor. The
metro line is said to be 16.160 Km long wherein Phase | of this Metro comprises
Siddhivinayak -Dhutum Metro Station and Phase II comprises of Dhutum – Dushmi
metro station.
